I have run into problems printing cues sheets of routes created. On longer routes (more than 50 miles) the cue sheet will only display a large map of the route and the elevation profile. How can I print the turn by turn cue sheets?
This is also an issue on shorter routes - sometimes the turn by turn will end at 30 miles when the route is over 40 miles long. Is this a bug that you're aware of and developing a fix for? Please let me know if there's any way around this, even if it involves using another site. Thanks.
Me, too. Is there any support on this site at all? You've changed to this new format but now the printing of maps is horrible! No turn by turn, only a general overview plotting, etc.
When using print_designer do you have the print notes option selected? Please contact us directly if you encounter such issues, it's much easier to get a conversation going through email, and will result in faster issue resolution :)
I used the auto notes and follow roads features. When seleting the cue sheet option for printing I get a summary sheet , however the cue sheet format truncated the last part of the turns and always leaves a lot of space on the bottom of the page.
I like the new print option but was happier getting all the directions and not missing any.
Was excited when I found this site, then joined and was ready to print rides for vacation tomorrow.....but no route cues whatsoever would print, with every option selected in settings. Essentially worthless as this is an area I do not know at all. No elevation printed either, just a big map overview, no notes, no matter what I did, (cut and pasted the route instructions, still would not print). How disappointing, and then no way to contact the site directly. Good idea, poor execution.

Under 'Map Options' you can select your distance segment lengths if you want more zoomed in detail -- ie, show 5-mile segment of the routes. This way you can get to street-level detail. You can also select to display the elevation profile under 'Map Options'
We're working on some more customization aspects like giving you the ability to change font sizes -- realistically if you have 1,000 turn-by-turn directions, we're not going to be able to fit them all on one page. We're trying our hardest so keep you eye out for some updates end of this week...
Just a little update, I'm currently working on multipage cue sheets which will auto scale to fit all your notes (adding more pages as necessary). Also, please note that if your route doesn't have cues then the print engine will have no cues to print. Create your maps using follow roads and automatic notes or edit existing routes and add notes to see cues.
Just spent a few hours trying to create one cue sheet. I am able to get the whole cue, map and elevation on the computer screen. However, when I attempt the pdf printout the elevation never is printed. What am I doing incorrectly ?
Because I must make multiple cue sheets for a club event I've got to get all this information on the printed sheet.
Please give step-by-step instructions for getting the entire cue to appear on the printout.
Thank you.

Morning,
I don't think I fully understand what you want to do. If you open up the advanced options under step three (click on the title) you'll have the option to print elevation. The cue sheets will auto scale, if you want to scale them down adjust the font size (this will get more cue notes on one page).
G'luck!
Agree with everyone else - frustrated with unfriendly user site. Can't save without "plot" a route - no instructions on plotting - can't print cues. Maps, per se are useless if you don't know an area or street names.
Ok, here is the basic gyst for creating a route with turn-by-turn directions:
1) Click on the Map New Route/Ride/Run button on the top nav
2) Zoom to the location you wish to start at.
3) Click on Map Settings and ensure that the 'Auto-Routing' is checked
4) Click on Map Settings and ensure that the 'Auto Notes' is checked
5) Start Plotting your Route. You should see the Auto-Notes populating with each auto-routing turn.
6) Save this Route.
If you are looking to print other people's cue-sheets, you should verify that turn-by-turn directions have been created for the route. You can either do this by clicking the 'Notes' button while viewing a route, or viewing the 'NOTICE' when yo click the print button (we display a warning if no notes are detected)
If you wish to include the ELEVATION PROFILE, click the 'Advanced' tab in the Print Desginer and make sure the 'Include Elevation' checkbox is checked.
We are working on ways to make this more apparent and will be releasing tutorial videos in the coming weeks.
Kevin - I just set up a route with cue sheet as you describe.
Problem:
There are lots of lines that start with "Head north on ..." [or east ...] which are totally extraneous. I wish you would leave these out (as you did on the previous version). They get enetered everytime there is a mouse click on the route, and they just get in the way. E.g., I have a 30 mile stretch on one road and I have to click on it several times along the way or else I get the "too far" error message. So I'm getting all these useless "head ... on ... " lines in the cue sheet.
unrelated (see "Elevation?" discussion in this "help" category):
Ascent computation is still complete nonsense. It adds an ascent whenever there is a continuous ascent of over 10 m and seems to add 30 m no matter what the actual ascent is. On the other hand. if you download the elevation data and plot your own ascent in excel/lotus you gat a good graph and you can do your own cumulative ascent calculation.
