Both price and features are very close. Didn't find independent reviews googling the web on either of them. Wondering if any of you have some feedback?
Thanks,

I just started using the Polar CS200CAD about a week ago and I really like it. I was using the Shimano flightdeck and a sports instruments HR monitor, and I really like having an all in one computer. My only beef with it is that you can't view your speed and elapsed time at the same time... or at least I haven't found a way to do it yet. But other than that it has all the functions I need. I found it very easy to use and set up with the use of the book. I haven't had any problems with interference from power lines or computers, which was a problem with the sports instruments monitor (granted it was the cheapy). I haven't used a Cateye for quite a few years, but have always had good luck with them, not sure about HR functions on cateye's though. I hope this helps! Good luck and keep the rubber side down!
I bought the Cateye V3. I looked at the Polar CS200CAD and almost bought it. I was looking for a computer that had everything, Cadence, HR, wireless, all the goodies. But, I needed one that hooked up to the rear wheel instead of the front. I live in Minnesota and we don't get a lot of good riding days in. So I needed one that had the speed sensor on the rear wheel to use when I use my trainer. The trick was to find one that was also wireless. So far I really like it. I have not had any glitches or lost signals yet. Again for me, the selling point of the V3 was the rear wheel sensors. If that is not an issue, then either should work real well for you.
I looked at a lot of computers and decided on the Vetta VL 110 HR T2X. It has it all and was easy to set up . It was $250. I haven't had any problems, its easy to use and well designed.
Hi there, I was looking at both of those HRM's as well. I have an older Polar 510 and I notice that hydro lines or even powerful security alarms are now affecting the HRM and Speed functions so that it maxes out... ie. HR = 230, Speed = 60Mph / 100k/h. Just wondering if the CS200cad has the same issue as I have heard this issue affects others - it's frustrating as I like the functions and use it for both running an biking but it's now annoying since I can't see some info such as max speed and HR.
The V3 looks intriguing as it is apparently transmitting at 2.4GHz but I've heard the screen is difficult to see when it's really sunny and buttons are small.
Both my husband & I use the Polar CS200, although we'll have to upgrade this winter to something that has the speed/odometer sensor on the rear wheel for indoor use (or the old junky computer will be mounted for the winter, and I'll upgrade in the spring). I just wanted to put out 2 words of warning about this particular computer - not sure if it applies to ALL polar computers, or just this model (purchased last year).
1) the mounting mechanism for the actual computer - where you take it on & off - on BOTH of our computers one of the 3 tabs have snapped off, and we haven't been rough with them. Just waiting for the computers to fall off at some point on a really bumpy stretch.
2) the mounting for the cadence reader is simply awful. It's held on by 2 zip ties. Which was fine on my aluminum frame, but I fear cinching it down as tightly as it needs to be on the carbon fiber frame. It came loose mid-ride last month, and has been removed from the bike. Luckily i don't really NEED the cadence sensor anymore, but I'm still a bit miffed about the setup.
