I'll be in Chicago next week (staying on Michigan Ave.) -- any good routes or must see attractions to run by?

The Lakefront is the place to go.  Only a couple blocks east of Michigan Ave, the Lakefront trail is 20 miles along Lake Michigan.  It's beautiful!  The only downside is that you have to run out and back- there's no way to do a loop.

Cool, thx for the heads up. I just checked it out on Google Maps, it's not far at all!

I would suggest running north from Oak Street Beach (base of Michigan Ave) vs. south. The path is in much better shape, the mileage is marked, and depending on how far you go, you'll be running by multiple harbors, etc. which are nice to look at. From Oak Street beach up to Bryn Mawr where the path "officially" starts is about a 6.5 mile run. Enjoy!
