    I am not a new runner, I have been running since gr. 8, and it jsut started off to lose weight, btu now I compete with my school. Well I wass just wondering how repetition of the same route can affect my training and how long before a run becomes useless because of the repetition?

    You could run the same route for the rest of your life and it would never be "useless". The only way I see using the same route over and over again becoming a problem is if it gets incredibly boring to the point where it is affecting your motivation to run.

    If you feel a particular route isn't challenging you enough anymore, look for places to add distance or throw in a fartlek type workout.
