Feature Requests: Possible Bug with "Follow Roads"

I have found that sometimes, while mapping in "Follow Roads" mode (which is an awesome bit of functionality by the way), that while mapping one point to another, it correctly connects the first point to the second point, but it then draws a chord back to first point.  To achieve the desired effect, I can workaround the problem by pressing undo a number of times, to remove any automatically established way points, any mileage markers and the chord itself. I see this quite regularly, though not all the time. I don't believe that I had ever selected either the "loop" or "out and back" buttons, that might put me in a state where the behavior might be understandable. I should also note that it does not occur when I temporarily take it out of "follow roads" mode.  Of course this might not be a bug at all, but I could be doing something wrong.
