Feature Requests: Add new markers to an existing route

Does this feature already exist? I have created a cycling route. It happens to be a long one -- a 400 mile multi-day bicycle tour. I now want to add markers for locations that have food, water, camping, etc. Some of these markers will be directly on the route, some will be nearby the route. However it seems that MapMyRide wants to treat each marker as the next point on the route, not as a simple point-of-interest added after the route is finished.

This really needs to be added as a feature of mapmyride, it is pretty useless when you upload a ride from gps but cannot add any info to it with the appearance of a straight line from the finish point!

C'mon guys lets get it sorted.
