    Hi,

I read somewhere once that you needed to drink 8 cups of water a day for two days straight in order to become fully hydrated. Is this true? If not, how do you really become fully hydrated?

    Thanks in advance,

    Matthew

everyone is going to be different. Typically, 64 oz is the minimal recommended amount for people but your urine should not smell, or have much hint of yellow. Just minimal dehydration in a human can turn into noticable detriment to physical performance. depending on how much you exercise, you'll need to replace your sweat with water/sports drink etc. every ounce of body weight you lose during exercise should be extra fluid you take in throughout the day on top of your 64 ounces.
