I understand that the iPhone's GPS can only function when the app is open, and when the screen is not locked. However there are other apps similar to this that provide their own "screen lock" feature within the app itself. Is this something you are looking to include in the iMapMy app, or can you add it as a feature request, as it is all too easy to inadvertently push the wrong onscreen button by mistake when out running.

Everytrail's iPhone app has this functionality as does "Trails" by Felix Lamouroux.

    Hi odelay-

Thanks for participating in the forums.  For "screen locking", our apps have a "backlight timeout" feature that accomplishes this goal.  Based on early feedback, this seems to be working well, but we may tweak the unlock interface a bit in future versions.  Presently, you can tap anywhere on the screen to unlock the screen, but some type of sliding interface may be a nice enhancement to add soon.
