I hope you enjoyed yourself in CA Lydia.  I would love to run a marathon in that state one day.  Ran only twice this week cover over 5 miles each time.  Missed my usual Saturday run this morning - could not get out of the house.  It is now 3.45 pm and I am still contemplating going on a run.  If I do not I will set the alarm for 6am Sunday morning and continue with my usual long run.  I think I ate too much today and will definately try to push myself tomorrow.

I am currently in CA we left Sunday evening.  My husband is attending a training class with IBM so I decided to join him.  My husband was worried I be bored - am joining it the me time plus I needed a break from work.  This is the first time off from work all year.  Yesterday I went to the gym within the hotel was feeling so good I was there from 9am - 12noon.  Did the Treadmill, Elliptical and Stationary Bike.  Today I did the same thing be a little longer onthe Elliptical still did my 30mins onthe treadmill. On the bike I was reading for the 3rd time a book called "Slow Fat Triathlete"  its ready a great book. Lydia

Jacquie, WOW!! You are doing so great with the running.  Maybe that is what I need to do speak to my knee - last night the knee keep me awake.   After dropping my husband off at the Guard unit this morning. I meet up with classmate from the Tri Class.  We did a short ride of 20 miles with took 1hr and 21mins.  This is the first time riding together it work out great since we are the same speed.  I am not sure if I mentioned that I designed the jersey and shorts for the group I ride with on Saturday’s.  We call ourselves “The Ladies”

Jacquie,  I agree with Karen congrats on the race.  Sorry to hear about your knee - best thing you could have done taking a couple days off from running. Karen,  Glad to hear you are feeling much better and still going out doing what you can. Next week I have taken a week of leave from work - it the first break haven't from year this year besides the weekends.  Joining my husband on buinsess trip to CA.  He was worried I would be bored, I plan on spending the day working out and just enjoy me time.  In the evenings spend the time with my husband not having to worry about the duties around the house. Lydia

Feel much better - definately a cold and compounded by allergies (have them year round). Also switching allergiy meds, so??? Still - got out to walk yesterday and got hit with rain mid lap at work, so inished the one lap inside. A freind of mine came back to work after being out on leave for a few months. She and I help keep ourselves moving, so I am glad to have a workout busddy back. She plans on bringing her bike so we can take rides. I find I like solitary exercise for meditation, but having a conversation at the same time makes the time FLY! Jacquie - hope all turns out well with your knee! & congrats on the race - I am pretty sure I would not have been able to do it with a cold - never mind the not really running yet bit.
