Well the ride was pretty nice, except for the part where I went too far on Tomahawk Trail and ended up on Bitters road. The drivers weren't exactly the most polite in San Antonio so I turned around and made a quick run back on winding way...

Ya'll think its bad in San Antonio? Ya'll really dont want to ride here in Seattle. Most area's here make you want to call the cops on certain drivers. Oh and speaking about drivers not letting pedestrians cross, check this out...I got held up at the crosswalk one time, as soon as the drivers to the left of me saw that it was my turn to cross legally they started pulling right turns and didnt even let me cross. Talkin about being nice here. My safe cross time ran out and I had to wait a total

Yes, I will have to agree. And I think the whole problem is that drivers today lack compassion especially when they are behind the wheel of their 2 ton death traps. They are "getting back" at someone for being wronged by another person. you know what I mean. I forgive them, but somehow they need to realize we all need to share the road.

I agree with the above, people here are so into themselves that they don't know how to pay attention to driving, much less pedestrians. There was actually a guy parked in the entire crosswalk today at a red light. He quickly got an evil look followed by a birdie.

Would have appreciated a route map, not knowing the San Antonio area. However, if you were in traditional suburban sprawl, I understand your frustration completely.

IT always amazes me how clueless and rude drivers are about cyclists of all kinds. Not to mention runners. The streets in my city are designed in just a manner that people can't see me until they are on the corner yet they still drive through as if they know no one will be there. I have punched people's cars for that and they are lucky that's all that I did. I've been almost hit so many times it's ridiculous. If I can look so can they and they should.
